NOW, here are some pix taken during my Spring break. Vacation to hualien.
Our first destination is to Taroko National Park.
hello uncle, what are you trying to do?
my travel mate, Bell
and Nancy
Yen zhi kou (Cave of the shallow mouth)
Chiu Chu Dung (Tunnel of Nine Turns)
Over the past 20 years Taiwan rapid economic development has resulted in a major growth in tourism. It is no surprise that the outstanding features of the Taroko Gorge have led to its being one of the most popular attractions.
This area is indeed one of the most exquisite places in the Gorge. In order to keep traffic congestion to a minimum level, they built a tunnel to replace the highway, but to leave the old highway in a place as a rail for visitors to view these very spectacular parts of the park without the intrusion by exhaust-spouting clumps of metal that used to ply this road. This tunnel is 1.9 km winding road, at present; it serves as a pleasant 20-40 minute walk with the view of marble formation mountain, springs and waterfalls.
Fish's shape alike stone
This is one of the Taroko National Park main historical and scenic attractions. During the typhoon season happened in 1979, 1980 and also 1987, landslides caused the boulders crash down on the shrine and damaged the structures. The shrine in this picture is the 3rd incarnation of the Eternal Spring Shrine
When the night falls, we went to watch the famous native's show
I salute them. They are half in naked in this cold weather, 15-20 celcius.
and i manage to participate too...can you spot me? the little one in pink...

I just love the oval-shape rocks by the beach. This is all natural marble rocks.
