10 things I love about Taiwan

  1. The uniqueness of the student
  2. The weather
  3. No matter how far you go, how deep are you in the jungle, they are still a convenient shops  just right in your walking distance
  4. Lotsa nice places with beautiful scenery to visit
  5. Sense of safety – in term of robbery, kidnap, etc
  6. I can cycle around Taiwan without worrying about I’ll be rob
  7. Shopping will never far then 5 minutes ride
  8. The generous government sponsored me to study and travel
  9. The pretty girls on the street & in the pub - You will be amaze if you know how much time they spent a  day to make themselves a so called pretty girl
  10.  Free tissue in toilet

10 things I hate about Taiwan

  1. The first thing would be the toilet in Taiwan. Only 2 words to describe dirty & smelly
  2. The worst part is there is no water pipe in the toilet – if you accidently squirt out of target,  what would it be?Can u imagine? What else beside the yellowish marks… :p
  3. The level of internationalization – in term of English usage – so called international dorm distributed memos in Chinese and not bilingual
  4. Extreme air pollution
  5. The chaos traffic circulation system – you will never know which way is the cars and motorbike came from
  6. Almost all of the stuff here are 20-50% much more expensive than Malaysia
  7. Freaking scary earth quake and thypoon
  8. It cost almost RM 1 to make a minute call and 30 cent to text your friend
  9. Some of the foods is not as nice as promoted
  10. A highly recommended & nice place to travel but not really a nice place to stay for long term

MUST DO in Taiwan before I graduate

  1. Go around Taiwan Island
  2. Watched at least a super star concert
  3. ..... to be continue

NOW, here are some pix taken during my Spring break. Vacation to hualien.

Our first destination is to Taroko National Park.

hello uncle, what are you trying to do?

my travel mate, Bell

and Nancy

Yen zhi kou (Cave of the shallow mouth)

Chiu Chu Dung (Tunnel of Nine Turns)

Over the past 20 years Taiwan rapid economic development has resulted in a major growth in tourism. It is no surprise that the outstanding features of the Taroko Gorge have led to its being one of the most popular attractions.

This area is indeed one of the most exquisite places in the Gorge. In order to keep traffic congestion to a minimum level, they built a tunnel to replace the highway, but to leave the old highway in a place as a rail for visitors to view these very spectacular parts of the park without the intrusion by exhaust-spouting clumps of metal that used to ply this road. This tunnel is 1.9 km winding road, at present; it serves as a pleasant 20-40 minute walk with the view of marble formation mountain, springs and waterfalls.
